Get Involved/Register Interest

Burial grounds across Wales can often be outstanding sites for heritage, containing headstones, monuments, ancient trees and rich biodiversity. These local greenspaces are not only at the heart of local communities, but they are also at the heart of local nature recovery. Across Wales, there are more than 3,500 burial grounds, churchyards and cemeteries – a combined area of over 600 hectares.

The development phase of our project is now active, and we are seeking nominations of interest from burial ground managers and volunteers across the whole of Wales. We are also welcoming new volunteers to register with us.
